UVC- disinfection of packaging material

The principle of UV disinfection is based on the destruction of DNA which is caused by the short wavelength of the UV radiation.
Pathogenic micro organisms such as viruses, bacteria, yeasts and spores of fungi are deactivated and unable to multiply.
This process minimizes the amount of subsisting micro-organisms on the packaging material.
The sustainability of the packed food products is considerably increased.
Main applications are dairy and beverages industry.
